The covers to the latest Doctor Who Magazine sport the four main characters of Season 6 with “Marked For Death?” teased.
Not just a tease, as it turns out, one of them will be killed off in the “season opener.”
Well, Rory and River Song already have died – so that leaves the good ol’ Doctor and Amy Pond.
Wait, didn’t the Doctor “die,” at the end of Season 5, but then fixed it when they were in the museum (if I remember correctly)?
So that would make it Amy’s turn!
However, from viewing the trailers it seems Pond is in numerous episodes. The only death that would really “stick” would be Doctor’s – which could be reversed and the Doctor could go on from a different timeline etc.
Guess, we’ll find out soon enough – April 23rd Doctor Who returns to the U.S. and UK at the same time!
The Doctor Who Magazine twitter posted the following from Stephen Moffat:
“When I came up with this heart-wrenching twist, I thought ‘We’ll kill off one of the leads in the season opener.’ It lures you in.”
But the covers have revealed something else. All the charecters have tally marks on their hands. What deadly monster has made them do this and what are they counting down for?
